About
Your local Spokane electrical experts.
Wired Goat Electric is a licensed, family-owned contractor serving Spokane County, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, and North Idaho.

When the lights go out or your electrical system starts acting up, you need more than just any electrician. You need someone local you can trust. That's what Wired Goat Electric brings to every home and business across Spokane County and North Idaho.
Everything we do is built and inspected to the rules of whichever state it is in. In Washington that is WAC 296-46B. In Idaho it is IDAPA 24.39.10, the rules of the Idaho Electrical Board, under Title 54, Chapter 10 of Idaho Code. Both states are on the 2023 edition of the National Electrical Code right now, and Washington moves to the 2026 edition on December 31, 2026.
What we stand for
- Transparency. Clear, upfront pricing with no hidden fees: we publish what electrical work costs in Spokane, so you'll always know what you're paying for and why.
- Family-owned, local. We live and work in Spokane. Personal attention and accountability you won't get from large companies.
- Quality workmanship. We do the job right the first time. Our work meets and exceeds industry standards.
Local problem solvers
From the historic charm of Browne's Addition to modern developments in Liberty Lake, every corner of our region has its own electrical quirks. Century-old homes on the South Hill need careful rewiring and often a panel upgrade before an EV charger goes in; growing businesses in Spokane Valley need cutting-edge commercial work. We've seen it, and fixed it.
Commercial excellence
From cozy downtown coffee shops to massive warehouse operations, we get the job done without disrupting your day. Our commercial clients count on us for emergency repairs, planned installations, and systems that scale.
Solar that makes sense
Eastern Washington gets more sun than people realize. We design grid-tie solar systems, battery backup, and emergency power that integrate cleanly with your home's existing electrical infrastructure. Permits handled.
Meet the team
The people behind Wired Goat Electric
A real family business with licensed electricians, apprentices, and the person who keeps it all running on schedule.

Aaron Keevy
Founder & Journeyman Electrician, Administrator
Aaron Keevy has been in the electrical trade for 0 years and holds a Washington journeyman license. Wired Goat Electric is a licensed electrical contractor in Washington (WIREDGE782LA) and Idaho (067715). Before the trade he spent 15 years in general contracting and roofing, which is why he tends to look at a house as a whole system rather than just the wiring in front of him. He's interested in the technology side of the trade and makes a point of keeping current with where it's going.
He does most of the estimating and takes most of the first calls. If you've talked to someone at Wired Goat about a project, it was probably him. He'd rather spend an extra ten minutes on the phone working out what you actually need than quote you something you didn't ask for.
Remodels and tenant improvements are the work he likes best: the jobs where someone has a picture in their head and the electrical has to make it work.

Jane
Office Manager
Jane runs scheduling and dispatch and keeps jobs moving. If you get a call confirming a window or letting you know a tech is running behind, that's her.
She spent more than 20 years as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) before joining the company, which turns out to be good preparation. Most of the job is organizing a day that keeps changing and explaining clearly what happens next.
She came on to help the family business grow. It's the reason scheduling here is a person rather than a voicemail box.

Grant
Apprentice Electrician
Grant is 0 years into the trade and holds apprentice cards in both Washington and Idaho, one of the reasons we can take work on either side of the state line.
He's working through a four-year apprenticeship program and expects to finish in 2027. Before this he spent four years in construction, two of them building in-ground pools and two with a general contractor, so he has a good sense of how electrical fits alongside everything else happening on a site.
Ask him what matters and he'll say safe and efficient. Doing it right the first time rather than doing the minimum.

Owen
Apprentice Electrician
Owen is family, and he's working toward his journeyman license with a target of 2028. He has 0 years in the electrical trade and two years of construction work before that.
He grew up around this business, which meant he learned the standards before he learned the tools. It shows in how he treats a jobsite.

Scott
Solar Specialist
Scott came into the trade with a finance background, which is an unusual route into electrical work and turns out to be a useful one. He's a licensed electrician, and he runs all of Wired Goat's solar sales, a job that's as much about the numbers as it is about the panels. He still gets out on installations when the schedule allows.
Renewables are the part he genuinely geeks out about: photovoltaic, wind, the whole side of the industry. If you're weighing up solar and want someone who'll talk you through what it actually involves rather than just what it costs, that's Scott.

Proud member of the Spokane Home Builders Association, connecting local trades, builders, and homeowners across the region.
Where the name came from
Aaron started Wired Goat in 2020. He'd been in the trade eight years by then, and it was simply the next step: not working for somebody else, but running a company where he could set the culture and the standard of the work himself.
The name came from a few directions at once. Aaron's wife Jane likes goats. GOAT stands for greatest of all time, which Aaron will not say about himself but will let the name imply.
And Spokane has its own goat. The welded steel one in Riverfront Park was built for Expo '74 by Sister Paula Turnbull, known around town as the welding nun. She made it from old pipe, recycled springs and railroad spike ends, and put a vacuum in its mouth so people could feed it their trash. It has stood in the same basalt grotto just east of the Looff Carrousel ever since.
They wire things. Wired Goat.

I called Aaron as he was referred by my plumber. After calling last minute, Aaron was kind enough to go above and beyond normal operating procedures to help me. Aaron went to his boss to ask to personally come to my home and help me. Knowing there is a company and a person willing to help when you need it the most - is worth more than gold. Thank you Aaron! Your number is in my phone anytime I need an electrician.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. Wired Goat Electric is a licensed Washington electrical contractor (WIREDGE782LA) and a licensed Idaho electrical contractor (067715), and we carry the insurance required for the work we do.
How long has Wired Goat Electric been in business?+
Aaron started the company in 2020, and he had been in the electrical trade since 2012 before that. We keep those two numbers separate on purpose, because they are different facts and only one of them is the company's age.
Are you really family-owned, or is that just marketing?+
Really. Aaron founded it and runs it. Jane, his wife, runs scheduling and dispatch, so if someone calls you about a time window, that is her. Owen is family as well. It is a small crew, and you will deal with the same handful of people from the first phone call through to the final inspection.
Who actually shows up at my house?+
One of the people on this page. It is a small team, which means whoever comes out can tell you what they found and what it will take, rather than writing it down and passing it to somebody else to explain later.
Do you have a shop or an office I can come to?+
No. Wired Goat is a service-area business, so there is no counter, no showroom and nowhere to pick anything up. All of the work happens at your property. A supply house is the place for parts and materials.
Do you work in Idaho, or only Washington?+
Both. Wired Goat is a licensed electrical contractor in Washington and in Idaho, Aaron is individually licensed in Idaho, and Grant holds apprentice cards in both states. The two states have no reciprocity, which means a lot of Spokane-area electricians cannot legally cross the state line. That covers Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden and the rest of Kootenai County.
Are you available 24 hours a day?+
No, and we would rather tell you that than advertise something we cannot hold up. Our hours are 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, and Aaron usually answers the phone himself. If you have a burning smell, smoke, or a panel that is hot to the touch, that is not a scheduling question. Shut the power off at the main if you can do it safely and call the fire department.
Who do I talk to about an estimate?+
Usually Aaron. He does most of the estimating and takes most of the first calls, so the person quoting the job is generally the person who has looked at it. Sending a photo when you get in touch often saves a trip.
Do you install solar yourselves, or subcontract it?+
We install it. Scott runs solar for Wired Goat and he is a licensed electrician as well as the person who handles the sales side. Most solar in this market is sold by companies that do not do electrical work and subcontract the installation out, which is a different arrangement from ours.
Why is it called Wired Goat?+
Aaron's wife Jane likes goats. GOAT stands for greatest of all time. And Spokane has its own goat, the welded one in Riverfront Park that eats trash out of your hand. They wire things. The longer version is further up this page.
